Job Description: For a HNW client we are looking for a qualified and experienced live-out Private Chef to work permanently in London. May require some travel. Drivers’ license essential.

The client/ household:

The HNW client, a family of 5, including young children, visit London 7-8 months of the year, some of the time not in full numbers. The house is fully staffed and is run formally. There are several pet dogs and a cat. The property contains a large new modern kitchen and the client entertains on occasions and in small numbers. The diet is a healthy cuisine of the finest and freshest available, cooked and presented to very high standards. There are no dietary restrictions.

The role reports to the house manager and the Principals.

The duties:

- Provide breakfast, lunch and dinner when the Principal and/or family visit

- Create imaginative healthy menus

-  Provide ad-hoc healthy snacks

-  Source and buy the best and finest produce available

- Liaise with suppliers and the house manager

- Keep expenditure accounts

- Store produce and keep kitchen spotless at all times

- Serve at the table if required

- Work in a chef consultancy capacity on a private venture, when required

 

Requirements:

- Qualified chef

- 5 years’ experience in private service

- 5- 10 years commercial experience including Michelin and AA Rosette level

- Flexibility and outstanding presentation skills

- Good reporting skills, ability to develop menus

- Experience of cooking for infants

- Previous consultancy experience of advantage

- Must live within a commutable distance

We are looking for candidates who are confident in their abilities to cook to very high standards producing tasty and healthy dishes that are well presented, balanced and delicious. Chefs should be passionate about delivering the very best and be flexible. When the family is not in town the chef would assist the Principal with consultancy chef work, that is interesting and at a very high level.

 

The days: 5 days a week when family not in residence (6 days when in residence), afternoons (approx., 2-5pm) off.

To start as soon as possible. A DBS security check will be required. Written references from previous employers will be required.


Salary & Benefits:  £65000 - £80000 depending on experience, plus holidays

Job Description: For a young British family based in the South of France we are looking for a Private Chef with qualifications in nutrition. Driver essential. Must be able to travel and speak fluent English and French.

The professional couple have two teenage children who still live at home and go to school. Both have weight issues and have recently been diagnosed with various intolerances. The villa has 4 bedrooms with a cottage in the grounds that staff use. The main house is fully staffed including a daily housekeeper, a daily tutor and a gardener/ driver. The family travel during school holidays and need the chef to accompany them. The setting is informal. The family only entertain infrequently with up to 20 guests. The father travels during the week, the mother is out on business but comes home daily. A car for work and personal use is provided.

The duties are:

-      Develop a nutritional menu incorporating diets

-      Source locally produced fresh organic and varied produce

-      Ensure cupboards are well stocked

-      Prepare meals for the family (and staff) and oversee calorie intake

-      Pre-cook some meals/ snacks for weekends

-      Ensure healthy snacks are available and food for breakfast

-      Keeping kitchen tidy and clean

 

Candidate requirements:

-      Qualified as a chef with 1 year diploma in nutrition

-      Fluency in English and French

-      Must have previous experience in private service

-      Be able to travel and cook on the occasional weekend (time in lieu given)

-      Have very high hygiene standards

We are looking for candidates who would enjoy taking charge of this family’s dietary requirements. Introduce, new foods, diets, flavours. Candidates should be truly engaged and up to date with nutritional trends and news and be passionate about their subject. Other skills required are excellent organizational skills, flexibility and being able to work indepently during the day and independently. Ideally the candidate is happy to settle long term with the family. Good knowledge of local markets and suppliers is an advantage.

Self-contained 2 bedroom property available within the grounds. Some of the local staff sometimes stay over in the property when the family entertain and there is more work but it is mostly for the chef's use.

Hours are Monday to Friday from 11am till 8pm (with a break). The family help themselves to breakfast. No table service required. To start as soon as possible. Written references will be required.


Salary & Benefits: EUR 55000 - EUR 60000 gross plus accommodation, use of car
