Job Description: For a new client we are looking for an experience Private Chef for the 2019 season. Driver essential as well as knowledge of the latest nutritional insights, diets and cooking trends.

The family own a large villa near Monaco, which is their base for the summer. Many family members and friends visits throughout and parties of up to 50 will take place. The style is informal and relaxed but can include more formal sit-down dinners. The family, usually around 6, are very keen on food and enjoy to eat and show off the best and latest. Guests are often invited last minute. Key focus is on fresh and healthy produce, locally sourced and of the very best qualify. A car is provided for work use.

The duties of the Seasonal Private Chef:

  • Plan creative imaginative nutritional menus
  • Source, purchase and order ingredients
  • Keep cupboards clean and well stocked
  • Oversee additional staff for larger events
  • Cook lunches, buffets, barbeques and dinners daily
  • Keep kitchen tidy and clean
  • Keep track of expenses and budgets

Requirements:

  • 8 years’ experience and chef qualifications
  • A large repertoire of the dishes and cuisines including trends
  • Excellent knowledge of local suppliers and best produce
  • Great flexibility and creativity
  • Excellent communications and presentation skills
  • To start as soon as possible till the end of Aug. 2019

To work 6 days a week including the weekend with one day off during the week, more if time allows.

Accommodation is an en-suite room in the staff house not far from the main villa.

Job Description: For a HNW couple we are looking for a daily Private Chef with extensive experience of entertaining (incl. ad-hoc) and heathy nutrition including vegan dishes. The young couple recently moved into their new large duplex apartment. The kitchen is state of the art and very modern. Both work in the entertainment business and lead very busy lives. The couple like to entertain, often ad hoc and particularly at weekend when friends come to stay as well. There is housekeeper and they have a private PA who works from the home. There are no pets. Extensive knowledge of entertaining guests is crucial. Both like British, Asian and Middle Eastern foods and have vegan friends. A great deal of flexibility will be required (and rewarded).

The duties:

  • Create imaginative menus for every day and dinner parties
  • Shop for and source the best ingredients
  • Store and keep cupboards stocked up and clean
  • Prepare and cook healthy dishes and snacks
  • Keep kitchen clean and tidy (including while cooking)
  • Lay tables, serve meals and tidy tables
  • Order and serve fine wines and drinks
  • Prepare meals in advance

Requirements:

  • 6 years experience as a private chef
  • Chef training with an repertoire of an international cuisine
  • Ability to cook for large parties (25 plus)
  • Good knowledge of vegan dishes and nutrition
  • Beautiful presentation skills
  • Great flexibility and able to cater for unexpected guests
  • Able to source the best produce
  • Knowledgeable and up to date on cooking trend
  • Excellent kitchen management
  • Well-mannered with great communications kills

To start as soon as possible. The cooking for the entertainment needs to be of the highest standards, plated and buffet style.

Wednesday to Sunday (with Mon/ Tues off), working 11am till 9pm with a long break in the afternoon (if not used one of the rooms can be used by the chef). If hours are longer in the evening, time is given off the following day).

 

Salary & Benefits: £ 60000 - £ 70000 gross a year
