Domestic Couple, Ibiza, Spain

For a busy international couple we are looking for an experienced permanent Live-in Domestic Couple (housekeeper/ cook/ handy-man) for the island of Ibiza, Spain. Drivers only and must have previous experience of working in warm climates.

The couple run several businesses and travel frequently. They own a beautiful modern very stylish villa in the area of Sant Joan in the north of the island. The property is classic for the islands, with 7 bedrooms (all en-suite), several terraces and a pool as well as a casita in the large grounds, which are landscaped. The interiors are minimalistic with special art work and modern large pieces of furniture. The floors are marble and there are large windows, which are professionally cleaned. The villa is operated by smart home technology and has recently been modernized.

The Owners also own other property and visit from time to time. They are looking for a professional couple who are able to run the property to high standards - there are no rental visitors. When they are visiting they frequently entertain friends and family who visit for several weeks particularly over the holiday periods. Some of their visitors include younger children and small dogs. The couple also enjoy cooking but during the week prefer to have the Domestic Couple cook healthy nutritious meals (one of the couple is a vegetarian who eats fish).

The duties of the Domestic Couple (interchangeable):

• All housekeeping duties (incl. mopping, dusting, polishing, vacuuming, etc)
• Taking care of all laundry
• Manage wardrobes (including silks and linens) and assist with packing
• Organize cupboards and stocks of cleaning products (biodegradable only)
• Shop for and store fresh produce
• Clean and stock up fridges (online delivery possible)
• Prepare and serve light family meals
• Clean kitchen after use
• Set tables (mostly when guests are staying)
• Deep clean property (curtains, furnishings etc.) when couple are away
• Plan and prepare small parties including barbeques
• Clean terraces and furniture of sand, dust, leaves
• Ready rooms and terraces for use (sun umbrellas, towels, etc)
• Oversee basic watering of garden and plants (irrigation system in place)
• Manage contractors (for AC, water deliveries, etc)
• Protect art work from sun damage/ and humidity
• Report any issues/ obtain quotes
• Carry out minor repairs (small painting jobs, etc).
• Clean cars and keep fuelled
• Airport drop offs and pick ups
• Make booking for guests staying
• Run errands

Requirements for the Domestic Couple:

• A min of 5 years experience as a domestic couple working for a private family
• Must have experience of working in warm climates
• EU passports
• Clean drivers licences for both
• Fluency in English and working knowledge of Spanish (Dutch is an advantage)
• Excellent housekeeping and family cooking skills (ideally including barbequing)
• Great references from past private employers
• A recent security check

The Owners are looking for a professional yet relaxed couple who are competent in delivering a high end service.

Accommodation: A spacious fully furnished one bedroom cottage in the ground (photos available), with AC, Wifi and security. Use of the pool and barbeque area when Owners are away. Use of a car.

Hours: When in residence approx. 9am to 1pm and 4pm to 8pm, less when the couple are away.

Salary: €4000 – 5000 net a month for both, depending on experience, plus holidays and accommodation.
