Housekeeper, Kingston upon Thames, UK

JOB FILLED. We are recruiting for a live-out Housekeeper for a British family in Kingston upon Thames, South London, UK. High end housekeeping skills essential. Must be an English/ Portuguese speaker.

The family have two older children and own a very large townhouse. They already employ one Housekeeper/ PA as well as a gardener/ houseman/ driver, who have both been there for years. This is a full-time residence and the family often have visitors over long weekends. They seek a live-out housekeeper who works as part of a team to uphold high standards, The family also own a small property in Central London which also requires occasional housekeeping duties. There are no pets.

The duties of the live-out Housekeeper:

• All housekeeping duties (dusting, mopping, sweeping, polishing)
• Laundry care and ironing
• Reporting any issues
• Ordering toiletries, cleaning products and flowers
• Preparing property for visitors
• Caring of silver and crystal
• Creating inventories with the other staff
• Overseeing contractors
• Liaising with family office staff
• Assisting with additional duties when the family have visitors
• Running errands

Requirements:

• 4-5 years’ private family experience and longevity within a similar setting
• Excellent knowledge of high end housekeeping to high standards
• Good knowledge of dealing with smart home technology
• Legal to work in the UK
• Fluency in English and Portuguese
• Live in a commutable distance
• Ability to manage own work load
• Some flexibility when family has visitors
• Recent security check
• Excellent references from past private families

This is a family who wish to recruit a discreet and reliable housekeeper with excellent knowledge in the upkeep of their property and personal items. Previous team work essential as well as strong communications skills and attention to detail.

Hours: Monday - Friday, 8am - 5.00pm with 1 hour for lunch and some flexibility when family has visitors

Salary: £45000 - £55000 gross a year depending on experience
