For a lovely, returning client we are seeking a highly organised Private Personal Assistant / Household Coordinator with a warm personality for a full-time, long-term role (42-45 hrs a week) – live out, based around Cham/ Zug. Candidates are ideally already located in Switzerland/ Germany and live local to Cham/ Zug or are willing to move close by. Drivers essential.
Both parents are professionals and lead very busy lives. The family live in a large detached property on the outskirts of Cham. This role combines household and administrative responsibilities including coordination and support for two older children, who are quite independent and busy with lots of hobbies.
Each family member gets very booked up with activities and it is the Private PA/ Household Coordinator´s role to professionally support the management of their daily lives with discretion and sensitivity towards schedules and needs, which is key to the success of this role. Being able to work independently, efficiently, proactively and have a high standard of administrative skills is paramount as well as being able to spend some time with the children when needed.
The key duties of the Private PA / Family Coordinator:
- Independently manage and organise the household with a high level of ownership
- Coordinate service providers, logistics, and daily family schedule
- Carry out research/ reports and present professionally
- Plan and organise travel, appointments, activities and events
- Drive children to school and activities
- Light household tasks, e.g. handle the household recycling, tidy kitchen after breakfast or lunch, take out the garbage, cleaning the car etc.
- Proxy parenting (overnight stays 2-4 times a year/ paid extra) when parents are travelling
The requirements of the Private PA/ Family Coordinator:
- A min. of 5 years’ experience within a private household setting including PA duties
- Experienced in dealing with children
- EU/ CH passport (for ease of travel during holidays) or a valid Swiss work permit
- Clean drivers’ license and must be a confident driver
- Fluency in English (ideally also German/ Hochdeutsch but not necessarily)
- Strong administrative experience incl. MS Office is a must (which will be tested during the trial)
- Excellent communications and organizational skills
- Being able to move close by (if not already living locally)
- Must be a confident swimmer
- Written references from past employers/ families
- Valid Pediatric First Aid certificate
- Up to date security check (this can be obtained before starting the role)

Assistance can be provided to find accommodation and during the probation period (3 months). A car is provided for work (with flexibility).
A paid trial is anticipated. To start as soon as possible.
Hours: Mon - Fri on average between the hours of 7.30-8.00 to 17.30, with an hour for lunch (food for lunch provided)
Salary: 80.000 CHF – 100.000 CHF gross a year (approx. CHF 6666 – CHF 8333 gross a month) depending on experience. Please be aware that in Switzerland employees are legally required to obtain their own health insurance.
